What is Screen Refresh Rate?
Screen refresh rate refers to how many times per second the display updates the image, measured in Hz (Hertz). Common refresh rates include 60Hz, 75Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and 240Hz. Higher refresh rates mean smoother animations and gaming experiences, reducing motion blur and screen tearing.
How to Use
- Select a test mode (Bouncing Ball, Scrolling Bars, etc.)
- Click the 'Start Test' button
- Observe animation smoothness and FPS value
- Wait a few seconds to see the estimated refresh rate
Test Examples
- 60Hz display: Standard for gaming and office, 60 updates per second
- 120Hz display: Smooth experience, great for video and gaming
- 144Hz display: eSports standard, preferred for competitive gaming
- 240Hz display: Ultra-smooth experience for professional eSports
Test Tips
For more accurate results, we recommend testing in fullscreen mode. High refresh rate requires both the monitor and system to support it.
